Turkey Creek looks to use lasers to slow speeders

By: TONY MARKS Editor Russell Sarpey, owner of Emergent Enforcement Solutions, addressed the Turkey Creek Village Council, during its meeting held Tuesday, July 18, about possibly using automated license plate readers as a way to slow speeders. “The technology makes officers safe,” Sarpey said.

MPD reports recent arrests

Christopher L Montelone, 48, of 121 Railroad ave Mamou, was arrested for Attempted Second degree Murder on June 9, 2023, after an earlier altercation with Dusty Bordelon over lawn equipment, escalated. Montelone used his vehicle as a weapon striking Dusty throwing him several feet into the air.
