By: TONY MARKS Editor The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office announced an arrest in connection with a break-in at a camp on Molitor Road. According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the incident happened on February 21.

SLPSO deputies arrest Ville Platte resident

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reported a Ville Platte resident was among three suspects who were arrested in connection with the seizure of two pounds of marijuana. On March 10, just after 6 p.m.

Ville Platte Chief of Police A. Perry Thomas reported Marlon H. Williams has been captured by Ville Platte Police in cooperation with the Ville Platte City Marshal’s Office. Williams escaped from the city jail on March 7, at 7:10 p.m., due to an unsecured door to the recreation yard.

Chief A. Perry Thomas reports Marlon H. Williams, the inmate who escaped Saturday from the Ville Platte City Jail, has been captured by Ville Platte Police in cooperation with the Ville Platte City Marshal's Office. Chief Thomas thanks the Marshal's Office and the community for their assistance.
