Search Warrant Yields Large Amount Of Narcotics

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop on a truck, on the 10 th of August 2021 on Armand Street in Ville Platte. The agents made contact with the driver and smelled a strong odor of Marijuana coming from his person.

Statues Found In Chataignier Area

The Evangeline Parish Police Jury located two (2) large, cement lion statues in the roadway on H.L. West Rd. in the Chataignier area. The statues were brought to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office where they will be kept until an owner comes forward to claim them.

Turkey Creek arrests stem from traffic violations

On August 03, 2021 officers with the Turkey Creek Police Department observed a beige in color Honda Accord commit a minor traffic violation.
