Bringing the “payne”

EUNICE – By all accounts, LSU Eunice sophomore guard Isaiah Payne is a man of few words. Those who weren’t aware of his prep career at Pine Prairie probably hadn’t even heard of him before last year, when the 6-3, 175-pounder was a first-team all-conference selection after averaging 17.

Orgeron fished for trouble with outburst

Come to find out, LSU may have been fishing in the wrong hole all along and it may be time for a new captain to man the ship at Tiger Stadium. For those of us who have been living under a rock, the last year-plus of the Ed Orgeron Era haven’t gone quite as well as other years.

McNeese looks to return to championship ways

LAKE CHARLES -- The McNeese Cowboys were able to get back to normal playing a spring schedule, and now the program is looking to get back to its championship ways. "I think it was big for us," McNeese head coach Frank Wilson said. "We were beyond a normal spring because we actually played games.
