Qualifying period for elections begins Wednesday

Staff Report According to Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court, Randy Deshotel, qualifying dates for the upcoming Fall election on November 8 will be Wednesday, July 20, Thursday, July 21, and Friday, July 22.

Town hall meeting is held

Workforce grows, jobless rates down over the year

Staff Report The Tri-Parish workforce grew by 778 people and the jobless rates were down in May compared to a year ago, according to the Louisiana Workforce Commission. The Tri-Parish workforce number 68,618 in May, up from 67,840 a year ago.
