Funds will be received for new VP fire station

By: NANCY DUPLECHAIN Staff Reporter Fire Chief Chris Soileau shared good news with the Ville Platte City Council at their July 11 meeting. He announced the department is going to receive $500,000 to begin the city’s new fire station project.

By: TONY MARKS Editor Richard Loveless initially wanted to construct a race track on about 150 acres of property that is on the Red River in Alexandria. But, as is the case in most instances, life had a different plan.
