LSP investigates after videos surface

By: TONY MARKS Editor Louisiana State Police has launched an investigation into the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office after multiple videos surfaced online of deputies abusing inmates. According to reports, inmates can be seen as they are slapped, slammed on a desk, choked, and maced.

Mamou receives Keep Louisiana Beautiful Grant for Anti-Litter Program

MAMOU – The “Mou-vement” has taken over the Town of Mamou! The Town has been selected as a recipient of the Healthy Communities Grant by Keep Louisiana Beautiful, the state’s premier anti-litter and community improvement organization.
