LSU hosts first super regional since 2019

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor BATON ROUGE – Since the days of Skip Bertman, LSU has believed that the road to Omaha has run through Alex Box Stadium. However that hasn’t been the case since 2019, the last time LSU hosted a Super Regional and lost to Florida State.

While flanked by members of the Sacred Heart baseball team, Briggs Ardoin (seated) is pictured after signing to continue his playing career at Baton Rouge Community College.
