Ville Platte unable to overcome talented Notre Dame; loses third district contest
VILLE PLATTE -- It was all Notre Dame High School Friday night, as the No. 1 team in Division II rolled past the Ville Platte Bulldogs 49-0 in a District 6-2A contest.

Amid last week’s activities for Cotton Festival the Evangeline Parish 4-H Club has celebrated too. It was National 4-H Week. From pumpkin carving to pet shows club members stayed busy.
Injuries have plagued the Sacred Heart Trojans (4-3, 1-2) all season long.
It is hard enough to play in District 6-2A, with the success that teams like Kinder, Welsh and Lake Arthur have had over the past five seasons.
The Pine Prairie Panthers are in that same position they found themselves in last season.
After going 2-2 to start this season, the Basile Bearcats are poised to pick up their fourth win in a row and are seeking to secure a top 10 spot in the final power ranking come November 4th.

BASILE -- Having everyone healthy once again, the Basile Bearcats used explosive play after explosive play to roll past the Elton Indians 49-20 in the Battle of the Bayou here Friday night.
KINDER – The Kinder Yellow Jackets overcame numerous penalties and turnovers to notch a 20-8 homecoming over Ville Platte Bulldogs here Friday evening.
The Mamou Demons scored twice in the second quarter and only trailed Crowley High by six points at the half, but could not sustain their success, as they fell to the Gents 33-13 here Friday night.<
