SEC is top-ranked conference in mens’ basketball

Vanderbilt is one of seven teams in the nation that remains unbeaten (Arizona, Duke, Iowa St., Miami (OH), Michigan and Nebraska). The SEC leads the nation with nine teams in the Top 40 of the NCAA’s NET rankings. The SEC is the top-ranked conference according to KenPom. Last year, the SEC’s +22.

Parish players are named to Acadiana Senior Bowl

By: TONY MARKS Editor VILLE PLATTE - The reigning Evangeline Parish Co-MVP in softball is taking her skills to Eunice as Sacred Heart’s Amelia Fontenot signed to play softball at LSU Eunice. The signing came during a ceremony held at Sacred Heart on Wednesday, November 19.
