VILLE PLATTE – It now becomes a wait and see game for the Ville Platte High Bulldogs, as they are patiently hoping that they will be amongst the 32 teams headed for the Class 2A playoffs when the brackets are announced this Sunday.
Heading into Friday night’s game against the Welsh Greyhounds, Ville Platte held onto the No. 29 spot in the power ratings. A win over Welsh definitely put the Bulldogs into the post-season, but even with a loss, Ville Platte still had an outside chance of sneaking in to the playoffs.
Unfortunately, Ville Platte could not hold up their end of the bargain, as the Bulldogs were taken down by the Greyhounds in a 56-6 loss.
