OPELOUSAS -- With Sacred Heart sitting at No. 7 in the latest playoff rankings, a win over the Westminster Crusaders was very vital in making sure that the Trojans would secure a first round home playoff game.

Sacred Heart took care of the business at hand, as the Trojans rolled past Westminster 32-14 in the final district and regular season game.

With the win the Trojans finished the year 8-2 overall and now must wait for the playoff brackets to appear today to see if that win was enough to keep them in the top eight of all teams in Division IV. “We are hoping that we did enough to keep us high enough in the rankings to get that home game in the first round of the playoffs,” stated Sacred Heart head coach Josh Harper. “That was definitely one of our goals coming into the season. Now we start phase three of the season. We just have to see how it all shakes out when the brackets are released and play the hand that were dealt.”
