Panthers fall in final game

CROWLEY – It was not the night that the Pine Prairie Panthers were hoping for.

Sitting in the No. 35 position of the LHSAA power ratings, the Panthers came into Friday’s game against the Crowley Gents needing a win to grab history and make the post-season for the first time in school history.

Unfortunately for Pine Prairie, the Gents had too much size and too much depth as Crowley dominated the Panthers in a 49-8 win.
With the loss, the Panthers finished the year with an overall record of 3-7 and a district record of 2-4. “I really want to say that these seniors we have the biggest hearts of any player I have ever coached,” head coach Yves Prince stated sincerely. “You knew that every game they were going to leave it all out on the field. I am sad to see them go.
