The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers added two more wins to their total this past week, picking up a 3-2 victory over Plainview on Tuesday and blasting Eunice on Wednesday 13-2.
With the two game sweep, the Lady Panthers improve to 23-3 on the year and 10-1 in District 5-3A. Pine Prairie will host the Northwest Lady Raiders on Tuesday.
On the other side of the parish, the Sacred Heart Lady Trojans were unable to hold back the Opelousas Catholic Lady Viking offense in a 9-1 loss. The Lady Trojans drop to 10-8 on the season and 2-2 in District 5-1A play. Sacred Heart will host False River on Tuesday.
Here is a re-cap of those three games played.

Plainview vs.
Pine Prairie
The Lady Panthers threatened several times in the first four innings of play, stranding four runners in scoring position.
It wasn’t until the top of the fifth inning until Plainview was able to get on the board first when their lead off batter stroked a solo home run over the left field wall.
Pine Prairie tied the game in the bottom of the fifth when Jacie McFarlain doubled and scored on a Maycie Hardy double.
The Lady Hornets added a run in the sixth on another solo home run. But the Lady Panthers answered with an Abby Fontenot blast.
McFarlain scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly off of the bat of Allie Fontenot, after doubling and reaching third on a sacrifice bunt.

Pine Prairie vs. Eunice
It was all Pine Prairie, as they scored 11 runs in the top of the third to break a 1-1 tie. The Lady Panthers added another run in the fourth inning for good measure to take the district win.

Opelousas Catholic
vs. Sacred Heart
The Lady Trojans gained the advantage in the early part of the game, scoring a single run in the bottom of the fourth inning.
However, the Lady Vikings responded with six runs of their own in the top of the fifth to basically put the game away. Opelousas Catholic rounded out the scoring with two runs in the top of the sixth inning.
