PINE PRAIRIE - The season began on the wrong side of the ledger for the Basile and Pine Prairie football teams as the Bearcats lost 28-7 to the Mamou Green Demons and the Panthers lost 28-0 to the Ville Platte High Bulldogs in the Evangeline Parish Jamboree last Friday night in Pine Prairie.
