Fontenot uses run to state to claim top coaching honor

MAMOU - Twenty-two wins to five losses and a 13-game winning streak during the regular season helped the Mamou Green Demons capture a share of the district title in District 4-3A. The team then went on to win three games in the playoffs for an appearance in the state semi-finals in Lake Charles. It was the team’s first appearance in state in over two decades.
