(Left photo) During Sacred Heart’s pep rally, on Friday, November 1, Jude Hebert (left) and Jax Fontenot (right) were presented with T-shirts in recognition of being the Ville Platte Gazette Player of the Week. Hebert earned the honor in Week 3 when he ran 31 times for 208 yards and two touchdowns in the Trojans’ 17-14 win over Basile and again in Week 8 when he eclipsed the 1,000 yard plateau this season with 228 rushing yards against North Central on homecoming night. Fontenot earned the honor in Week 1. In his team’s 14-0 win over Oakdale, he accounted for 2 catches and 38 yards and added four tackles and an interception. (Right photo) After his Ville Platte team earned a 42-6 win over Pine Prairie, Jarian Leday was presented with his T-Shirt in recognition of being the POTW in Week 7. That week he entered the homecoming night game for Ville Platte and led his Bulldogs to 14 unanswered points in the second half for the team’s first win of the season.
