On Friday, May 10, Ville Platte High School hosted its first annual academic signing day for graduating seniors to celebrate their accomplishments and commitment to continuing their education. JAG Specialist Dianna Johnson served as mistress of ceremonies, while Jeremiah Gallow gave the invocation. Darius Chagois led the Pledge of Allegiance and Gracie Devillier spoke briefly about the history of academic signing days. The presentation was then led by Charles Sonnier and the students signed their letters of intent for their post-secondary school or military pursuits of choice.
