The Evangeline Parish Basketball Tournament began on Wednesday, November 29, in Basile with the Sacred Heart Lady Trojans playing the host Lady Bearcats. The Sacred Heart Trojans then played the Bearcats, and the first day concluded with a pair of games between Mamou and Pine Prairie. In the top photo, Mamou’s J. Jack (10) moves the ball down the court past Pine Prairie’s Ke’MyJhia Thomas (23). In the bottom photo, Sacred Heart’s Conner Kennard (10) gets elevation over a pair of Basile Bearcats.
