Parish holds Memorial Day observance at courthouse
The annual Memorial Day observance was held at the Evangeline Parish Courthouse on Monday, May 27. The Flag at the courthouse square was raised to half-staff by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 632 members Greg Fontenot and “Tiny” Fontenot, the prayers were led by local regent of the Catholic Daughters Fannie Soileau, and the event also featured Karl Bordelon playing “Taps.” In the top ...
