Check is presented for financial literacy

Cabot Corporation of Ville Platte will sponsor all Finance Park Virtual 8th grade programs for the upcoming school year. Eighth grade students participated in Finance Park Virtual in the spring semester and benefitted from the following: hands-on learning, real-world application, critical thinking and problem solving, personalized learning, preparation for future financial responsibilities, collaboration and communication, engagement and motivation, and real-time feedback and assessment. The students gained practical knowledge and skills to prepare them for managing personal finances as adults. They learned about banking, investing, credit, and financial planning, setting a foundation for lifelong financial literacy. A check presentation was held at the central office of the Evangeline Parish School Board on Wednesday, July 3.
