The Evangeline Parish School Board will host its annual district-wide Parent Empowerment, School Engagement, and Community Involvement Day at the Ville Platte North Side Civic Center on Friday, September 27, at 10 a.m. Booth participants (government agencies and local businesses) will provide free educational, academic, and community services to all stakeholders.
The event will feature international singer and first recording artist of “Order My Steps” Barbara Tucker along with renowned recording and graphic artist Reverend Michael Pickett.
Visitation of booths will occur from 9 – 9:45 and the program will start at 10 am. at the North Side Civic Center in Ville Platte.
Anyone interested in donating toward this meaningful educational event may send checks or donations to Pauline Toussaint, EPSB Media Center, 607 Harvey LeBas Rd., Ville Platte. Those who want to donate cash prizes or have questions may call Grace Vidrine Sibley, EPSB Parent Involvement Supervisor at 337-363-7455.
