PAULIN’ “PL” LAROSE FONTENOT June 18, 1939 - August 27, 2022 VILLE PLATTE – A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Paulin’ “PL” LaRose Fontenot, 83, on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte.

VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Charles Ray “Charlie” Manuel at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte, followed by interment at Sacred Heart Mausoleum, officiated by Father Mitch Guidry.

BRENDA L. VIDRINE

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Brenda L. Vidrine at 10:30 a.m. today, August 25, 2022, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou, followed by interment at New St. Ann Mausoleum. Father Billy Massie will be the celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services.

VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Wilton M. Fontenot at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Father Andrew Killeen celebrated the Mass. Burial took place at St. Peter Cemetery in Grand Prairie.

James Harold Verrette, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022. His funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Father Wayne LeBleu officiated. Burial followed in Consolata Cemetery.

VILLE PLATTE – Graveside services at Evangeline Memorial Park will be held at a later date for AL Landreneau, 80, who passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022. Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.

MARY ELLA FONTENOT AUCOIN

Mary Ella Fontenot Aucoin, of Mandeville, passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 82. She was a native of Belaire Cove. Audubon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mary attended Phillips Junior College and had a career as a medical secretary and activity director at Harahan Guest House.

VIDRINE - A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Eula Lee “Tiny” Fontenot at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Holy Spirit Chapel in Vidrine. Father Billy Massie celebrated the Mass. Burial took place in Platin Cemetery. Ardoin’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
