VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Ms. Verna “Chicken” Fontenot Vidrine, 87, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Fr. Tom will officiate services.
Ms. Vidrine a resident of Ville Platte passed away Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
She leaves behind her loving family, sons David Manuel and wife Diana of Ville Platte, John Bennett Manuel and wife ,Shawn of Ville Platte; daughter Sue Vidrine and husband, Wayne of Ville Platte; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Meance and Angeline Lafleur Fontenot, first husband, Ashland J. Manuel, and second husband, George Vidrine, son, Michael Paul Manuel.
Visitation was held Friday December 22, 2017 from 9 a.m. until the time of services, with a rosary being recited at 1 p.m.
