VILLE PLATTE-Funeral services were held at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, for Sandra D. Lafosse, 71, who passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Ville Platte.
Father Gene Tremie was celebrant of the mass and conducted the funeral services.
Burial took place in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville Platte.
Sandra was born in Ville Platte, on April 26, 1946 to Rodney “T-Rod” Duos and Maydell Doucet Duos.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Joseph Lafosse, III and wife, Cathy of Zwolle; two daughters, Michelle Fontenot and husband, Keith of Orange, TX and Nicole Trahan and husband, Andre of Church Point; one brother, Coach Mackie Duos of Ville Platte; six grandchildren, Kyle, Lance and Haley Fontenot, Tayler Bergeron and husband, Michael, Hannah and Alex Trahan and great grandson, Evander Bergeron.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rodney “T-Rod” Duos and Maydell Doucet Duos Briley.
The family requested that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Monday, by Father Gene Tremie. Visitation continued Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
