Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. John Baptist Church in Ville Platte, for Mr. Willie Melvin, 33.
Interment will be in Soileau Cemetery.
Mr. Melvin is survived by his parents, Willie Serie (Betty) of Mamou, and Judy Melvin Richard (Leonard) of Oberlin; a son, Tylen Leday of Ville Platte; a brother, Closton Melvin (Brittany) of Ville Platte; six sisters, Antwishia Robinson (Damieon) of Warner Robins, GA, Tawatcha Melvin – Williams (Robert) of Jacksonville, FL, Fredgerricka Serie (Randy) of Soileau, Terrika Richard, Maria Richard – Joseph (Casey) and Krystle Fontenot, all of Ville Platte; two Godchildren, Zachary Doucet of Soileau, and Carli Melvin of Ville Platte, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
Mr. Melvin was preceded in death by his family.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. John Baptist Church.
