MAMOU – Funeral services were held at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, January 26, 2018, for Judy Ann Fontenot, 72, who passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Lafayette General surrounded by her loved ones.
Father Billy Massie, pastor of St. Ann Catholic Church, celebrated of the mass and conducted the funeral services.
Burial took place in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery in Mamou.
She is survived by her daughter, Tara Fontenot Gilder and husband Michael, of Carencro; son, Jeremy Roy Fontenot of Lafayette; grandchildren, Gabrielle Alyce Estilette, Hope Elizabeth Johnston, Luc John Laurentz and Solange Dian Gilder; and niece, Dana Field of Lafayette.
Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Luther John Fontenot; parents, Wesley and Mary “Pearl” Ardoin Fontenot; daughter, Shantelle Maria Fontenot; and infant brother, Terry Lee Fontenot.
The family requested that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, January 28, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary was recited by Father Massie at 12:00 p.m. Friday.
