John Wilbert Fontenot, 81 passed away peacefully at the Carpenter House in Lafayette on March 1st. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
Mr. Fontenot is survived by his daughter, Gina Fontenot Soileau (Gregory), of Carencro; granddaughter, Amanda Lee Soileau; grandson, Daniel Scott Soileau; two great-grandsons, William and Owen Deshotel; niece, Rita Dardeau; and nephew, Dess Fontenot.
