VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Mr. Harry Pitre, 94, will be held today, February 1, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church mausoleum.
Mr. Pitre, a resident of Ville Platte, and a WWII Veteran, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
He will be missed by his loving family, wife, Rosa Briley Pitre of Ville Platte; children, David Paul Fontenot and wife, Patty Ruth of Ville Platte; Arlene Coreil and husband, Paul of Baton Rouge; Janice Colligan and husband, Jim of Ville Platte; Peggy Tate and husband, Mitch of Ville Platte; John Pitre and wife, Lexie of Boyce; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Olivier and Atile Soileau Pitre, grandchildren, Abram Coreil, Lesley Fontenot Brunet, and brothers and sister.
Visitation will be held today, February 1, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of services, with a rosary being recited at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, masses for Mr. Harry can be made in his name .
