VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services were held at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Saturday, July 24, 2021, for Gary Dale Beaubouef, 82, who passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Heritage Manor of Ville Platte surrounded by his family.
Father Andrew Killeen was celebrant of the Mass and conducted the funeral services.
Burial took place in the Ferguson Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte.
At the request of the family, visitation was observed on Friday, July 23, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 6 p.m. by Deacon Chuck Ortego. Visitation resumed Saturday, July 24, from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Gary Dale Beaubouef was born on August 14, 1938, to Floyd Beaubouef and Malvina “Fee” Baldridge Beaubouef in Ville Platte. Gary worked in the oil and gas industry. He was a jack of all trades. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed being outdoors. Gary also liked to restore old tractors. He loved spending time with his family and friends who meant the world to him.
He is survived by his four sons, Jeff Beaubouef and wife, Amy, and Christopher Beaubouef, both of Bayou Chicot, Clay Beaubouef and wife, Evelina, of St. Landry, and Gary D. Beaubouef Jr. and wife, Sharron, of Kinder; three daughters, Karen Beaubouef Dupre and husband, Mike Dupre, of St. Landry, Roxanne Beaubouef Dupre and husband, Tony, and Pam Beaubouef Olson and husband, Steve, both of Bayou Chicot; 31 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; his brother, Robert Beaubouef, of Opelousas; and two sisters, Deanna (Tate) Butler, and Linda Jenkins, both of Belle Chase.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Greg Beaubouef and Robert “Robbie” Beaubouef; and daughter, Gwendolyn Beaubouef.
