VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Saturday, July 10, 2021, for Doward Lee Guillory, 84, who passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021.
Father Mitch Guidry, pastor of Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and conduct the funeral services.
Burial will follow Gates of Heaven Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 12 p.m.
Doward Lee Guillory was born on February 25, 1937, in Mamou to Hosea and Olivia Fuselier Guillory. He was a devoted, husband, father, and grandfather. His family and friends will miss him greatly and will always hold onto their precious memories.
Doward is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lee Anna Guillory; son, Dirk Guillory of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; two daughters, Dr. Christine D’Antonio and husband, Dr. Michael D’Antonio, of New Orleans, and Liz Keys and husband, Dr. Niko Keys, of St. Charles, Illinois; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Rebecca D’Antonio, and Isabella and Elli Keys.
He is preceded in death by parents, Hosea and Olivia Fuselier Guillory; and his sisters, Hazel Gautreaux, Ethel Dupre, Lou Ann Ward, and Deola Silvia.
