VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Mr. Billy Ray Miller, 87, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the Louisiana Memorial United Methodist Church, and burial followed in the Millerville Cemetery in Iota.
Mr. Miller, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away at his residence Sunday, September 16, 2018.
He leaves behind his loving family, wife, Joan B. Miller of Ville Platte; children, Sonoma Pitre and husband, Perry of Raceland, Margaret May of Dallas, TX, Albert Frank Miller III and wife, Thaun of Ville Platte, and Vicky Miller of Dallas, TX; sisters, Eva Fogleman of Baton Rouge, and Marie Rasberry and husband, Donald of Basile; sister-in-law, Etheline Miller of Eunice; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Amber) Pitre, Jacob (Sarah) Pitre, Tiffany May, Tammie May, Billy R. (Carren) Miller III, Chase (Christina) Rodriguez, and Corbin Rodriguez; five great grandchildren, Gage Pitre, Chloe Pitre, Luke Miller, Ellen Miller, and Ainsley Pitre.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Frank Miller, Ellia Martin Miller, and brother, Albert Louis Miller.
Visitation was held Friday, September 21, 2018, at LaVille Funeral Home from 5 p.m.-9 p.m., and again Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the Louisiana Memorial United Methodist Church in Opelousas from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m.
