VILLE PLATTE -Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 for Ann Jean Ballard, 74, who passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 in Ville Platte.
Jacob Volum, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, conducted the funeral services.
Burial took place in the Addison Johnson Cemetery in Turkey Creek.
Ann Jean Ballard was born in Ville Platte on January 1, 1944 to Don Louis Deville and Hazel Orene West.
She is survived by her fiance, Roger Clark; one brother, Charles Deville and wife, Janice; one sister, Pat Cloud and husband, Jimmie Cloud all of Turkey Creek; one niece, Tabatha Sontag and husband, Michael; two great nephews, Peyton and Cullen Sontag and one great niece, Clara Mae Sontag all of Pineville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Hazel Deville; one brother, Elvin Louis Deville and one sister, Betty Garlington.
The family requested that visitation be observed at Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation continued Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
