Le Grand Hoorah, a production of Prairie Heritage Inc., a 501 © 3 non-profit, returns to Lakeview Park in Evangeline Parish near Eunice, Louisiana to celebrate 11 Years of Hoorah. The weekend-long festival kicks off Friday, November 6th at Lakeview Park with live music by Ray Thibodeaux & Allons Danser in the barn, then rolls through Saturday, November 7th for the daylong music festival.
The band lineup has just been released and will once again feature premiere acts from around the region. The top-knotch agenda also boasts the finest of Cajun cuisine, plus French language experiences, dancing, special events, outdoor fun and optional camping on the beautiful grounds of Lakeview Park.
“Le Grand Hoorah 2026 is shaping up to be a fantastic year!” explained Gilbert “Winky” Aucoin, President of the event’s nonprofit, Prairie Heritage, Inc. "Our festival is dedicated to creating and fostering relationships focused on preserving the music, food, language and folk arts of the people of Acadiana. This year’s music lineup is solid and will set the tone for our celebration. Allons-y, Hoorahs."
Saturday’s music schedule boasts the following acts:
12:30pm -1:45pm - Dylan Aucoin & the Judice Ramblers
2:00pm - 3:15pm - Geno Delafosse and French Rockin Boogie
3:30pm - 4:45pm - Jesse Lege and the Bayou Aces
5:00pm - 6:15pm - Alphonse Ardoin and Zydeco Kingz
6:30pm - 8:00pm - Bon Soir Catin
8:30pm - 11:30pm - Jam Session with Luke Huval
Headlining this year is Bon Soir Catin, as the festival plans to celebrate the group’s newly released album Bonne Vie, through Valcour Records. After this big performance, a traditional jam will take dancers into the night and close out the festival just before midnight.
As the festival kicks off on the Saturday morning, attendees can enjoy food booths, the Annual Opening Ceremonies, French immersion student performances and a French Invocation. The 2026 Hoorah Honorees are the iconic Cajun musicians / brothers, Ed & Bee Deshotels, and their lives will be honored at the event. Then the annual Sunday morning Catholic French Mass will take place at 9:30 am to close things out.
