LAKE ARTHUR – The Basile Bearcats have not performed well in the season opener for the past few seasons; and unfortunately, the 2025 opening game did not turn things aroundfor the Bearcats.
Basile took to the road last Friday night against the Lake Arthur Tigers, falling 35-0 in a tough matchup between the Class 1A Bearcats and the 2A home team.
