VILLE PLATTE - Chief A. Perry Thomas reports that the Ville Platte Police Department is currently investigating a shooting which occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, on North Reed Street.
When officers responded to the shooting, they found a 23-year-old male had been shot. He was pronounced deceased by the Evangeline Parish Coroner.
