The Evangeline Parish Police Jury will hold a special meeting today, June 19, at 5 p.m. inside the Police Jury Meeting Room located in the Evangeline Parish Courthouse.
The purpose of the meeting is to hear public comments and/or questions on a proposal to approve a Payment in Lieu of Taxes, otherwise known as a “PILOT,” agreement exempting Recurrent Energy’s from certain tax and other considerations.
Once the public comment section of the meeting ends, the police jury will take action on Recurrent Energy’s Zydeco Project PILOT proposal.
