Merriam-Webster defines “flex” as a transitive verb meaning “to bend especially repeatedly,” “to move muscles so as to cause flexion of (a joint),” and “to move or tense (a muscle) by contraction.”
It is also defined as an intransitive verb to mean “to talk in a boastful or aggressive way,” and “to make an ostentatious display of something.”
