That football itch was finally scratched last week as Basile High hosted this year’s Evangeline Parish Jamboree. The BHS Bearcats fell to the Ville Platte Bulldogs 8-0 in the premier match, which was preceded by the Mamou Green Demons and the Pine Prairie Panthers contest where the Green Demons cruised to a 22-8 victory.
