Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 7, for Erven Bourque, who served more than 35 years in law enforcement for the Ville Platte Police Department and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office. Burial followed at the Old Ville Platte Cemetery. Pictured above are law enforcement officers from across the parish as they salute Bourque’s casket in the cemetery.
