The 39th annual Boggy Bayou Festival kicked off on Thursday, May 9, with its opening ceremonies. In the top photo, Miss Boggy Festival Kale Cloud (right) is pictured as she places the crown on this year’s king, Bryon Scott Johnson (center). Also pictured is outgoing king, Kerry Paul Fontenot. Later, Cameron LaFleur was recognized for placing third in District 2 at the Louisiana Fairs and Festivals art contest. In the bottom photo, TJ Campbell (left) and Andy Carson (right) present LaFleur with a blanket depicting her artwork. A similar blanket was available for auction during the festival.
