Fontenot pleads guilty as jury selection begins

Evangeline Parish District Attorney Trent Brignac announced Richard Martin Fontenot pleaded guilty to one count of battery of a dating partner by strangulation after the district attorney’s office prevailed in a series of pretrial motions.
