Firefighters from the Evangeline Parish Fire District #2 and St. Landry Fire District #3 along with 22 volunteers were called out to Chataignier after a call was received at 12:58 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, regarding fire and smoke coming from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
