The Tri-Parish work force in June declined 744 people from the count a year ago.
The workforce totaled 68,000 people in June, down from 69,544 in June 2022.
The work force count includes the employed and those looking for a job.
The data released by the Louisiana Workforce Commission on July 28 is not seasonally adjusted for factors such as weather and holidays.
