Heritage Manor News: Happy Halloween

(Editor’s Note: The following article was submitted by Patricia Duplechin, resident activity director at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. This column runs every Sunday in The Gazette.)
Happy Halloween to all from all of us at Heritage Manor. Our residents are looking forward to their Halloween party and the costume contest that will be held tomorrow in the dining room. We thank all of the Catholic Daughters that came and decorated pumpkins with the residents and brought refreshments. If anyone wishes to donate candy please drop it off at the front entrance for the activity department. Sugar free candy will also be accepted.
Residents and staff recently took a trip to the park and enjoyed a barbecue cookout, outdoor games and of course the sounds of nature. Many thanks to all of the staff that took part in the outing, especially the cooks, Herbert Jason and Trey Prudhomme.
Elections are next week on November 8, don’t forget to go vote. That is a rare privilege and your right. Take advantage of it.
