As you and your family are well aware, we are facing a difficult economy
and trying times. Unfortunately, carnival companies are still facing the
effects of the Covid-19 shut downs and their availability is limited. That
issue has in turn affected our festival. We regrettably announce that the
2022 festival will not have a carnival midway.
However, our board has planned a new event that we hope you will be
excited about as well! We will hold our First-Annual Black Pot Cook-off,
so enter today and show off your skills. We will continue to have live
entertainment at our Friday night Street Fair, as well as our other family
favorite events like the Contradanse, 4-H Cotton Pickin’ Pet show and
Cookery Contest, Grand Parade of Cotton, and the crowning of our 2023
Queen Cotton.
In light of these announcements, we humbly ask for your support more
than ever. We feel this is the time to invest in your community and local
festivals; volunteer with us, buy a festival shirt, become a sponsor, dance
and sing for the bands, enter the cook-off, support us in any way possible.
Our festival board works hard for our community. We do this for you. We
need your support like never before!
