The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotic Unit, on Monday, August 22, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation at Greenwood and Pine Point Road. The agent made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and explained the reason for the stop. Once a roadside interview was conducted a search of the vehicle was done. This led to illegal narcotics being found.
