Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office releases the following:
On the 24 th of June 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Departments Narcotic unit, executed a search
warrant on residence located at 617 East Jackson Street in Ville Platte. Agents entered the residence
and took one suspect into custody without incident. Agents then conducted a search of the residence
and located illegal narcotics.

Possession of schedule 4 Diazepam
Possession of schedule 2 Oxycodone

Possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl over 25 grams
Monetary instrument abuse
Bond is set at $ 225,000.00
On the 25 th of June 2022 an Evangeline Parish Patrol Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Vidrine
road. The Deputy made contact with the driver and advised the reason for the stop. The Deputy then
conducted an interview with the driver and was granted permission to search the truck. Once the
search was completed illegal narcotics were found.

And traffic citations
On the 28 th of June 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department’s Narcotics and K-9 Unit, conducted
a traffic stop on a vehicle on Chataignier Road. K-9 Diego was deployed and gave a positive alert of the
presence of narcotics. Agents then conducted a search and located illegal narcotics.

Possession of Methamphetamine
Obstruction of justice
Also, on the 28 th of June 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotics and K-9 Unit
conducted another traffic stop on Chataignier road. K-9 Diego was deployed and gave a positive alert.
The Agents then conducted a search of the vehicle and located illegal narcotics. This then led to the
search of a residence on East Beauregard Street in Ville Platte. Once agents searched the residence
illegal narcotics were located.
