New Farm Bureau Queen announced

Emily Deshotel crowned 2022 Evangeline Parish Farm Bureau Queen

Emily Deshotel, the 18-year-old daughter of Vince Deshotel and Stacey Deshotel of Ville Platte, was crowned as the 2022 Evangeline Parish Farm Bureau Queen during a board meeting held at the office Monday, March 7. She is currently a senior at Mamou High School and plans to attend Louisiana Tech University.
Deshotel is very involved in the Louisiana 4-H program and the Evangeline Parish Junior Leaders Club. She is a member of the Mamou High School Beta Club, 4-H Club, and Fellow Christian Students Club. She is currently serving her class as senior class president and has held officer roles in most of the clubs she is a part of. In addition, Deshotel was honored as Mamou High School’s 12th Grade Student of the Year and placed third in geometry at the LSUE Literary Rally in 2019.
Deshotel is an active member of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Church Parish in Ville Platte, where she volunteers as a teacher assistant for elementary catechism. She is employed with the Mamou Rice Driers, and her hobbies include showing cattle and spending time with family and friends.
