Minister’s Corner: Bearing our insignia

The Church of Jesus Christ is facing a tremendous onslaught today. This is nothing new, for it has been persecuted throughout the centuries. It seems, from the White House to the courthouse, everything is against God’s house. It seems as though everything is aimed at the destruction of the Church. Today, when you listen to the news, they refer to us as the religious right, as though we are some group of people who are a bunch of crackpot fanatics. They are depicting believers as being dangerous. The truth is, we are not crackpots; as a matter of fact, we have the answer for everything that ails the world, and they would but know it.
Since the problems of the world are all inherently tied into sin, the only possible answer is a bloodbath. That is, the sin in this world and its people need to come under the blood of Jesus, and the leadership of every country on the face of the earth needs to submit to the supreme authority of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And indeed they will, for the Word of God says in Philippian’s 2:9 (KJV), “Wherever God also hath highly exhaulted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
And as far as us being fanatics, some of us are radically fanatical about our Savior. We don’t need to apologize or wear a badge of shame like many in the world would try to portray. We bear the insignia of the cross, and we bear it with humility. We have been chosen to fight against the kingdom of darkness, and regardless of what we may see around us or hear concerning the present condition of this world, the Church of Jesus Christ is rising up in strength and power, and we will reign in the name of Jesus Christ.
